Who We Are
Burst Creative Group Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a creative and technology agency based in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this site only, not information you give us in person, by phone, or in a contract.
What We Collect
What you type into our contact form. Your name, your email address and your message, plus your organisation and role if you choose to give them. Nothing else, and only when you press send.
Your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter. That is all the subscription form asks for. We then email you a link, and you are only subscribed once you open it — if you ignore that email, nothing happens and we keep no record of you.
How you use this site, only if you agree. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used: which pages are viewed, for how long, what kind of device and browser you use, and roughly which country or city you are in. If you decline, nothing is recorded. See Cookies and Analytics below.
Nothing else. This site carries no advertising or social media trackers. You can read every page without telling us anything about yourself.
Why We Use It
To read your enquiry and reply to it. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we also use your email address to send you news about Burst Creative Group, and nothing else; every issue carries a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use the statistics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. We see them as totals and trends, not as individual people.
We do not build profiles, and we never sell your information or trade it. We have turned off Google’s advertising features: your visit is not used for advertising.
Where It Goes
What you send travels to our server over an encrypted connection and is delivered to our own mailbox by email. Our server is hosted in Canada. The email itself is carried by Elastic Email, our sending provider, which handles it solely to deliver it to us.
If you accept analytics cookies, information about your visit goes to Google LLC, which runs Google Analytics for us. Google may process and store it outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts and authorities under the laws of that country.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a court order or a lawful request from a government authority.
What Our Server Records
To stop automated abuse of the contact form, our server keeps a short technical record of each submission: the date and time, whether it succeeded, the length of the message, and an irreversible code derived from your IP address. That code cannot be turned back into your IP address or used to identify you. We do not store your IP address. These records are kept for at most 24 hours.
How Long We Keep It
Messages you send us stay in our mailbox for as long as they are needed to handle your enquiry and any relationship that follows from it.
If you confirm a newsletter subscription, we keep your email address together with the date you asked and the date you confirmed. Canada’s anti-spam law requires us to be able to show that you consented, which is what those two dates are for. We keep them until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Google Analytics keeps the statistics about your visits for 14 months, after which they are deleted. Its cookies stay in your browser for up to 13 months, unless you delete them or withdraw your consent sooner.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Cookies and Analytics
The first time you visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, no analytics code runs and no cookies are set. Your answer is remembered in your browser for 13 months, without a cookie, and then we ask again.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga. They let it tell a returning browser from a new one; they do not tell us who you are. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing your consent removes the analytics cookies from this site. Google also offers a browser add-on that turns off Google Analytics on every website.

Your Rights
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
