As the organization grew, its brand and digital presence needed to catch up, communicating its impact, its programs, and the many ways the community can help.

Burst partnered with Children’s Foundation to evolve the brand, redesign the digital experience, and build a complete communications toolkit, supporting awareness, engagement, and growth, including the expansion to a second location in Surrey. The result is one consistent brand experience across digital, print, photography, video, and community outreach.

The Challenge

Make the programs easier to understand.

A growing non-profit needed to make its programs easier to understand for families, partners, volunteers, and donors alike.

The brand identity no longer reflected the organization’s growth, and awareness of available programs and services was limited. Storytelling and visual communication needed strength, online engagement with supporters and donors needed building. With fundraising tools to develop and a second Surrey location on the horizon, the timing mattered.

The goal was a brand and digital platform that clearly represents the mission and builds stronger connections with the community.

Brand

Give the mission a voice.

Burst began with brand discovery, understanding the mission, values, programs, and audiences. The refreshed identity was designed to communicate trust, compassion, growth, community, and support.

A new logo and an updated visual identity system, documented in brand guidelines with typography and colour direction, carried through into stationery and marketing templates.

A stronger foundation for consistent communication, everywhere the organization shows up.

The Mark

Brand identity, retained.

The updated logo honours the Children’s Foundation’s original identity while creating a consistent, versatile mark that works across every application.

Its colours reflect the Foundation’s purpose and personality, bringing warmth, care, hope, and strength to the identity. Together, they create a clear, distinctive palette that holds its impact across print, digital, and single-colour applications.

The focus was continuity with purpose. The identity remains familiar to those who know the Foundation, while giving it the flexibility to grow, connect with more people, and carry its mission forward across every touchpoint.

The Website

A website built for engagement.

Burst redesigned and developed the website around accessibility, program awareness, and community engagement.

Visitors can clearly find available programs and services, organization information, and community initiatives, along with ways to get involved, donation opportunities, and contact information.

The result is an organization whose impact is easier to understand, and easier to support.

Storytelling

Real people, real stories.

To bring the work to life, Burst created authentic visual content highlighting the people behind the mission:

Staff and participant photography, marketing imagery, a website hero banner video, and visual storytelling assets make the brand more personal and more engaging, built on real stories.

Outreach

Tools for outreach.

Burst developed communication tools to support outreach, awareness, and fundraising:

Program brochures, promotional materials, stationery, digital graphics, and marketing collateral: professional materials, ready to share with families, partners, donors, and community members.

Knowledge Transfer

Sharing the skills.

A one-day social media strategy workshop gave the team practical ways to keep building their online presence:

It covered building awareness through social media, creating engaging content, and promoting programs and services, along with sharing community stories, increasing donor engagement, and supporting fundraising for the Surrey location.

WordPress CMS training put the website in the team’s own hands for managing content, updating programs, publishing news, and maintaining resources. Burst continues to support the organization with ongoing website maintenance and technical support.

Sharing its story clearly — and connecting with the families, supporters, and communities it serves.

The Impact

A complete brand and digital transformation.

A refreshed, professional brand identity, and clearer communication of programs and services. A modern website designed around community engagement, new photography and video for marketing, and stronger tools for fundraising and outreach.

A team that manages its own website content, and one consistent brand across digital and print.
