The Black Business Association of British Columbia supports Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses. Burst partnered with BBABC across multiple initiatives: elevating the brand, expanding the digital presence, deepening community engagement, and creating memorable experiences through design and storytelling.
This was never a single campaign. Burst became a long-term creative partner, delivering integrated branding, digital, video, sponsorship, and event work that strengthened BBABC’s visibility and impact across British Columbia.
The Challenge
One consistent brand, every touchpoint.
As BBABC grew, it needed one consistent, professional brand experience across programs, events, and digital channels.
That meant increasing awareness of its initiatives, showcasing member success stories, and strengthening sponsor engagement. It also meant a stronger digital presence, professional event experiences, and marketing assets that reflect the organization’s vision.
Every initiative had to reinforce the BBABC brand while supporting long-term growth.
Strategy
One ecosystem, four pillars.
Burst worked closely with BBABC leadership on a creative strategy built around storytelling, community engagement, and brand consistency. Rather than treating each project as its own island, every initiative contributed to one larger communications ecosystem.
Four pillars carried it: storytelling through video, brand consistency, digital engagement, and event experience design.
Storytelling
A growing library of real stories.
Authentic community stories carry this brand. Burst developed an ongoing video content strategy: interviews with business owners, community leaders, and members, produced as engaging short-form video for social media and digital platforms.
The library keeps growing. It celebrates member achievements and gives BBABC authentic stories that continue to support marketing, community engagement, and organizational awareness.

Black Excellence Awards
The Black Excellence Awards.
Burst helped shape the creative experience around the Black Excellence Awards:
Burst produced the promotional video and event marketing assets, and designed and developed the award website as the central hub for award information, nominations, sponsorship opportunities, and event communications, supported by digital event activation, social media campaigns, and visual communications.
Sponsorship
Partnerships with real presence.
To grow the awards program, Burst designed a comprehensive sponsorship package that made the value of partnership plain, and helped bring BMW on board as a premium event sponsor.
BMW vehicles became part of the event experience itself: contestant transportation, promotional photography, and event activations. The sponsorship materials opened the door to corporate engagement and long-term partnership development.
Afro World Conference
The inaugural Afro World Conference.
For the inaugural Afro World Conference, Burst developed the visual identity and creative direction: a modern event brand reflecting innovation, entrepreneurship, culture, and community.
The work ran from conference branding and the event identity system to the registration experience, and on to directional signage, booth graphics, presentation displays, entry feature design, environmental graphics, and marketing materials. Every touchpoint contributed to one cohesive attendee experience.
UEL Store
The UEL Store.
Burst supported the UEL Store with branded marketing assets that strengthened the retail experience and gave vendors more visibility:
Apparel design, promotional graphics, and vendor marketing assets sat alongside product promotions, short-form social content, and store campaign materials, giving the store the tools to better promote local entrepreneurs and featured products.
Work that amplified the voices, stories, and achievements of the Black business community.
The Impact
A stronger, more recognizable brand presence.
A growing video library of community stories, and increased visibility for Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. A professional digital platform for the Black Excellence Awards, stronger sponsor engagement through strategic materials, and premium corporate partnerships, successfully integrated.
A memorable launch for the inaugural Afro World Conference, consistent branding across events, digital, and campaigns, and better marketing tools for vendors, entrepreneurs, and community initiatives.
Project Team
Delivered by a collaborative team.
In Closing
A partnership built on purpose.
Long-term collaboration shows. Branding, storytelling, digital experiences, sponsorship strategy, and event design came together as one ecosystem, elevating programs, celebrating entrepreneurs, and strengthening BBABC’s presence across British Columbia.
Every initiative served the same goal: meaningful experiences that inspire connection, celebrate excellence, and support lasting community impact.
